QUALIFYING TIMES: PACE - 2:06; TROT - 2:08 2 YO Allowed 2 Seconds 

QUALIFYING RULES: 
45-day rule in effect.

Preference shall be given in all overnight events according to a horse’s last purse race or 
successful qualifying race when a horse is racing for the first time in the current year, or 
drawn in to go during the current year except as provided in Chapter 7, Section 6, subsection 1.

HORSES THAT MADE THEIR LAST START AT CUMBERLAND WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO TRIPLE DROP
AT THE DISCRETION OF THE RACE SECRETARY.  HORSES THAT MADE LAST START OUTSIDE OF MAINE 
MAY BE REQUIRED TO START IN A CLASS EQUIVALENT TO THEIR LAST START.

Post positions drawn by automated random draw computer generated USTA system.

Any event with a purse of $4,500 or less may be considered as a subevent.

Horses entered in the wrong class may be classified at the discretion of the Race Secretary.

Horses drawn into an event that, in the Race Secretary's opinion, exceed the original condition will be drawn to the outside.

On TrackMaster events the Race Secretary can and will use discretion up to a full point over listed condition, if necessary, to fill races without requiring horses to be drawn to the outside.

Any horse that wins a class as a (1) claimer, (2) or by PM wins, (3) or by lifetime earnings will not be required to move up in class (if entered back as a claimer, or if fits by PM wins);   

FAIR wins will not count as lifetime PM wins.

Fillies & Mares (F/M) when entered and racing against colts/horses/geldings may be allowed up to 1 full point over the TrackMaster condition at the discretion of Race Secretary.

Any entry may be disallowed at the discretion of the Race Secretary.

Any and all trainer changes made subsequent to 30 days of last start at Cumberland must be approved by the Presiding Judge.

Horses using controlled medications must be enrolled in program when declaring.

Races which do not fill and have similar purses may be combined in a competitive fashion to fill a race.

All horses must have a negative, up to date Coggins Test and proof of EHV on file at race office

All horses entered in claiming races assume responsibility for properly signed and submitted claiming authorizations. Claiming Authorizations may be found at www.ustrotting.com

Claiming allowances are: 4-year-old mares: 45%; 3-year-old fillies: 70%;5-year-old and older mares: 20%; 4-year-old horses & geldings: 25%; 3-year-old colts & geldings: 50%.

Foreign horses will be classified at the discretion of the Race Secretary

Trainers are responsible for checking the availability of the drivers they have listed.
